Clicking a url in Outlook, returns an error message 'General Failu

For some reason, links in Outlook dont work. Clicking on urls in Outlook
returns the following error: General Failure. The URL was: 'urlname'. Cannot
find the path specified.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I just figured it out myself. As it turns out Internet Explorer was no longer
set as the default browser. I changed this at: Internet
Explorer\Tools\Internet Options\Programs\Make Internet Explorer the Default
Browser.
