Error Message when Clicking Link

When I click on a link in Outlook '07 I'm getting the ERROR MESSAGE ...
GENERAL FAILURE "THE URL WAS' The system cannot find the file specified. It
does not show any error code number.
Outlook acts like it wants to start the browser, and sometimes FF will start
while the error is still on the Outlook window, but most times it wont start
the browser.
This just started yesterday AFTER I installed the Office Updates released
yesterday.
Any suggestions?

Try this: reset IE as the default browser in Windows to see if it affects
the problem. If it works after than, then change your default browser to FF
again.

When I tried to reset ff as the default the error returned. Could not get rid
of it until I reset ie as default.

A general failure occurs in ff - not e. The link you gave me appears to be
for ie.
