Clear icon background

Hi all

Does anyone have a patch or a way to get the background to the icon
labels to be transparent. There used to be a patch in Win98 called
Clearscreen or something but I can't find an XP equivalent. I really
want to do this while on active desktop.

Click Start, right click My Computer & Properties, click Advanced, under
Performance, click Settings, scroll down,
click Use Drop Shadows for Icon labels on the Desktop.
