I can't find it anywhere! How do you clear the query grid in Access 2007? I
have to just close the query and start over completely!

I've not found a simple solution for this myself. There are several
ways to do this, but if you really want to clear everything out,
closing and starting anew may be the fastest way to go.

You could:
1.) remove the tables you are using from the top of the grid. Right
click them and choose Remove Table (works well if you only have one or
two tables)
2.) click and drag on the little gray bar above the first field in the
grid (your mouse pointer should turn into a black arrow pointing down)
across to the last column, hit delete
3.) click on the same little gray bar, hold down the Shift key and
click the last column in the grid, hit delete

All of those options should work, which one works best for you is up
to you to decide.

I guess the idea is to either save the query, or simply close it if you want
to start over.

Yours is an interesting question, since none of the versions of ms-access
ever had some button to clear things out.

If there just one table in the query, simply click on the table in the
graphic part of the query builder, and then hit the delete key. It will
clear out the gird and the table. You can then either choose right click and
show table, or choose show table from the ribbon.

The above procedure will allow you to quickly start over without having to
close the query and start a new one.

A lot of people I suppose just close the query, answer no, and then create a
new one...

Another example of Office 2007 totally messing with the UI in ways
that make things harder...

The best way I could find to handle this is to add the toolbar option for clearing the grid to your toobar

right click on the ToolBar Ribbon
click Customize
Show All commands
and choose the Clear Grid
