msflexgrid and access 2007

Hello all and thank you for your help.

I currently have a Access DB with different forms that uses the MSFLEXGRID.
Now that I moved to Access 2007 I get the object doesn't support this
property error. I know it has something to do with the KB960715 but I can't
seem to be able to make it work. So what I would like to know is the proper
steps that I need to do to be able to make it work without having to remove
my grid ans starting all over!

Thank you again

Thank you for your post Peter. It's greatly appreciated... I did follow your
instructions and installed on a machine VB6, which btw was collecting dust, I
updated the controls, I made sure that the version in the system32
folder/MSFlxGrd.ocx is version 6.1.98.14. Deleted the grids in my Access DB
Forms, recreated them. Then I saved the project. Then I took the .mdb and the
ocx i found in system32 brought it to my vista machine with office 2007 and
try to run the db soft. I still have the Object doesn't support this
property...

Is there anything I'm missing here?? Is there an extra step that I needed to
do???

Thank you again.

PS: If you have a direct e-mail I could contact you to or a Live Messenger I
could add you on maybe it would be easier to explain.!!

Actually my version is showing version 6.1.98.12. Perhaps MS have
updated it again.

As you are using Access 2007 I assume you have the database file in a
'Trusted Location'.

Have you registered the flex grid control as the error message you are
getting usually indicates that you haven't. You can find details on
how to do it in the documentation at :-
http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=180
I think for Vista the registration process is slightly different. Have
a look at :-
http://home.comcast.net/~jesse99/Vista.html
for more information.

You could also check that you have set a reference to the flex grid.
In a VBA code window go to Tools -> References... and make sure you
have the Flex Grid reference ticked.

Post back if you still have problems.
