I am using window xp since almost two years now. With all
the family using the computer we add and remove many
programes since. Look like even if we use the add delete
program, the more we go and the less space we have
available on the disk. When I do looks every where I
can't find out where thos almost 15gigs went. Is there a
good program that I can use, free if possible , so it
clean my disk of all those file that I don't need
anymore ?

It is worth browsing with explorer on you hard disk for folders that were
created for those programs you have uninstalled. Quite often when you
uninstall, files and folder are left (due to data, saved games etc) which
take up space. Just delete these folders it may save you some space, but I
doubt it will account for your 15GB.

Also, if you downloaded these programs from the web, you could also delete
the installation files you downloaded if you know where they are.

Some programs also store large ammounts of data in the temp folder when they
install that does not get deleted, try deleteing these files if any remain
after a disk clean.

You have been emptying the recycle bin at regular intervals, I hope.

Sometimes people find that their System Restore points are responsible
for a lot of used space since I believe each drive has its own..

I like Empty Temp Folders, which will look for various temporary files
that may have stayed behind, check your shortcuts to see that they're
still valid, etc. I have it set to erase my temporary internet files
with each boot.
