ICBMs

I saw a show about the U.S. ICBMs.

They use computers that use floppy disks.

The phone lines are so bad that the operators could not understand their counterparts.

One blast door was held open with a tire iron because the parts are not made anymore.

They pointed out that land ICMBs are not necessary since everyone knows where there are at.

Feedback ?

Congratulations Germany on the soccer win. :)

If the U.S. "Accidentally" launches one and quickly notifies Russian or whoever,
what are the consequences ?

I know there have never been any accidents on both sides. Smile

I guess we could hope that Putin has not be knocking back Vodka's when he answers the "Red Phone."

Just my opinion.

These installations were made approx. 1970 and system security was
given priority over convenience in upgrading (adopting new subsystems,
e.g. digital/optical phone lines unavailable in 1970.)
