clean out the junk

Does any one know where all the folders are in windows that store all the
junk files that can be deleted. I run Norton clean sweep every few days, but
it's limited and does not clean out a lot of stuff. I also use the disk
clean utility that is in windows (when you rite click on your C: Drive). I
have also heard that windows gets rid of junk files on it's own, I do not
know if this is true or not?

Hi Kev

Disk Cleanup will delete a lot files, including Temporary files. Having said that, some programs, for some reason seem to be putting files in the Temp folder so as to make their software run - I don't know why they are doing it.

I downloaded " SpyBot Search & Destroy" at c/net
(download.com)
I was amazed at all the junk stuff in the directory and
elsewhere.I can now clean it all out regularly.
