Clean install nightmare..some tips

I have finally successfully installed vista home prem on my brand new system

athlon 64 x2 +5600
asus m2r32 mvp
radeon x1950 pro 512mb
geil 1Gb ram X 2
HItachi SATA 320Gb H/d
Pioneer DVD 112 IDE

tips:
update bios first (use EZflash)
remove unneeded hardware
ATI drivers need updating

hope it might help someeone, theres a lot of problems on here!!!
