clean instal of windows 2000

im currently using Win XP and i m not happy with it at
all and i need to get
back to my prev sys which is win 2000 pro. but before i
go to win 2000 setup
i need to format my hard disk and i dont know what to do
at that point how
am i going to do that
win 2000 setup only tells me to setup over the same
partition that win XP
is using so how do i format that parttion for clean
install of win 2000?


do i have to delete that partition from CD boot as to
format and recreate tha partiton is that a way to format
my C drive?
