I would like to run the classic Windows logon screen in Windows XP. How do I
get it to automatically log me on in that mode? I'm the only user, so it's
pointless to stop at the logon prompt.

Hi,

Click start/run, type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes) and
click ok. Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok
and follow the prompts to set up a default logon.
