Classic Start Menu

I can remove the Documents item from the start menu, but I cannot remove it from the Classic Start Menu. I prefer the classic start menu -- does anybody know way to get the Documents item out?

BTW -- There is nothing in TweakUI or any of the other power toys that will help.

Using TweakUI

TweakUI
[+] Explorer
UNCHeck: Show “My Documents” on classic Start Menu

Show “My Documents” on classic Start Menu
[[This controls whether My Documents is shown at the top of the Documents
submenu of the classic Start Menu.]]

Policy: Remove My Documents folder from the Start Menu
Description: Removes My Documents folder from the Start menu and
corresponding checkbox from the Start menu customization CPL.
Registry Value: "NoSMMyDocs"

You can use the Group Policy editor (Gpedit.msc) under the following
location to configure Start menu features:
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar

Note: Except when noted, all of these registry settings are under the
following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore
r

The registry entries are DWORD values. A value of 1 is enabled, and a value
of 0 is disabled.

NoSMMyDocs
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/reskit/regentry/95414.mspx?mfr=true

The above policy and TweakUI setting removes the option from Taskbar and
Start Menu Properties.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Here you are going to modify a key a nivel of regedit...remember that an
incorrect modification of the regedit can damage your computer....

go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Here you right click to create a new Key REG_DWORD named: NoSMMyDocs
with a value of 1
close regedit and restart computer
if you want back the folder change value to 0 or delete the key NoSMMyDocs
