Class not registered

I have two computers and they are set up the same way. In
excel 2000 I have been trying to use the solver function.
On one of my computers I have installed this add in and
it works perfectly, on the other it will not appear. I
initially tryed to install the add in and when I went to
the tolls menu it just was not there. I when back to the
add in command and there was a check beside the tool.
When I uncheck this item I get a Microsoft Visual Basic
dialogue box and it says
"class not registered
Looking for object with CLSID:{AC9F2F90-E877-11CE-9F68-
008AA00574A4F}.
When I did na search for this up on the internet most
suggestions were that I should reload MS office. I have
done this without success. Would appreciate any
assistance.

You could try Start->Run->Excel /unregister followed by a
Start->Run->Excel /register

If that fails it can probably be resolved with some
registry surgery. Even if you uninstall and reinstall the
registry entries are always handled. It is solvable (no
pun intended -- well, maybe just a little).
