Hi, I have my computer into a domain controller with windows 2003 server, but
I have other linux servers with samba acting as domains too.
How can I log into a domain controller, I mean I want to choose the domain
controller to log in.
Do I have to go to control panel -> system and change my domain every time?
or is there a way to choose the domain where I want to log?
It is because sometimes a domain has many users logging in a time and its
very sloww to log in, so I want to choose the domain...

thanks

One machine can only be a member of one domain at a time.

However, if you were to establish a trust between the domains, you would be
able to select the domain you wanted to logon to in the pulldown list prior
to logon.

Thank you, for the information, I 'd tried what you told me, but I'm using
linux debian with samba as a domain controller, so I think I can't establish
a trust relationship. Do you have other idea?
I want that the students of junior high or students of high school choose
the domain they want to log depending of their grade, because when all them
log in a domain the logon is very slow for the quantity of students logging
at the same time.
I would like to select the domain in the pulldown list prior to logon.

Yeah, I caught that you were using domain controller emulators rather than
the real thing. I haven't used those particular domain controller emulators,
but I have use one before. And it did allow to create a trust. That is the
only way a MS workstation will display various domains in a pull down list
prior to logon. If you can't do that, you'll have to figure out some other
way of dealing with your issue.

X11 can do that, it comes with the K12LTSP linux distro, which is actually
geared towards installations in exactly the environment you're in.

Might want to fix that page...

Gives:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting
T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in
/usr/share/mediawiki1.7/includes/Exception.php on line 114

Not here, unless it's since been fixed. It loads fine.
