I am trying to change the “100MBps/ Full-duplex mode†to “10MBps/ half duplex
modeâ€. Can that be done on the XP. I know it can on windows 2000? I have
looked around and it seams that that is the only way to stop my Linksys
router and wireless adapter from dropping out. As of now the signal drops out
about every minute of so.
Enough do drive a person crazy.

thank you very much for any Suggestions.

Try the following:
Go to Start -> Run and enter devmgmt.msc in the Open box. Click
OK.
In Device Manager, click on the + sign next to Network
Adapters.
Double click on your network adapter.
You should now see the Properties sheet for your network
adapter.
Click on the Advanced page.
You should see an entry in the Property box for "Media Type" or
"Link Speed and Duplex". Click on that line and make the
appropriate changes.
Click OK.
Close Device Manager.

Good luck

Right click on My Computer and go to Properties.
Click on the Hardware tab.
Click on the Device Manager
Expand the Network Adapters section
Right click on your network card and go to Properties
Click on the Advanced tab
Highlight "Speed and Duplex"
Change the value to "10 MB Half"

Thank you both so much, infinitely more useful then technical support.;-)
