Hi there,

Having run chkdsk on win xp which takes a fair time the final result only
appears very briefly on the desktop before disappearing, "holding pause
button does not hold it," giving insufficient time to read it properly or
print it.

Is there anyway I can retrive the last reports and keep it on my screen till
I have read it thoroughly.

thankyou.

kind regards,

corvo

Have a look in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer

Click the "Application" node and look at the events of type "Information"
around the time of your chkdsk run (source is Winlogon if you ran the chkdsk
on a computer restart). Double click the entry to view its properties.
You can paste the information to the clipboard, by clicking the button below
the up and down arrows

Open a Command Prompt window and then run CHKDSK from there.
