When I run chkdsk, or chkdsk /r at the end the report flashes on the screen
and is gone. How do I hold the report long enough to read it?

When windows restarts go into Administrative tools > Event Viewer.
In the "Application" events there will be an entry "Winlogon" in the
"Source" column.
Here will be the text summary that was displayed at the end of the chkdsk
routine.

HTH.

Thanks ms, I'll give it a go.

I was hopping for a switch. BTW, where can I get a list of switches for
chkdsk?
