Although Windows may seem to shut down correctly but
chkdsk runs each time when i start my computer. I am
unable to find the possible couse for it. I am using
windows XP professional and IDE hard disk drive.

I am not using Hewlett Packard (HP) ScanJet 5100c scanner
with the HP driver

Thanks,

Harpreet.

Does it tell which drive it is trying to run the chkdsk on? I had this
happen recently to me and my external Firewire drive was being checked. I
ran the chkdsk on that drive and it cleared the log on chkdsk. Just a
thought in case you have more than one hard drive on your computer.
