Chkdsk runs at boot

R

Richard Kingdon

For some reason chkdsk has started running every time I switch on my
computer. I don't know what has caused this and it never finds anything
wrong with the drive it is checking. I am also unable to defragment this
drive (D:) which is an extra hard drive on my computer.

Is there any way I can stop chkdsk from starting every time I boot? I would
be very much obliged for any suggestions.
Richard
