Continuious "chkdsk"

C

Charlie G

Windows XP, SP2 interrupted by electric storm. On restart "chkdsk" ran and completed. NOW, every time the computer is booted, "chkdsk" reruns and everything seems to run fine. How do I prevent "chkdsk" from running every time I boot my machine ?

Any help will be appreciated!

The registry entry at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager\BootExecute may have an entry for 'autocheck' which can be removed.
