Chkdsk of NTFS file

L

LadyK

I purchased a video converter for my husband. When we couldn't get the
converted video to copy, we deleted the movie from his laptop, and then
removed the software via the control panel.

Now, whenever we start the computer, it goes through chkdsk on the NTFS
file, which takes about an hour.

We've contacted the manufacturer of the converter, but their technical staff
is less than knowledgeable to say the least.

How can we get the computer from stopping the chkdsk so that the laptop is
working properly again?

Thanks!
