Chkdsk file NTFS on starting up computer

L

LadyK

I purchased a video converter box for my husband. We could not get it to
work, so we deleted the movie we tried to convert, and then removed the
software via the control panel.

Now the computer goes through a chkdsk of NTFS EVERY time we start up the
computer, which takes over an hour to complete.

The service people from the manufacturers are less than knowledgeable and
can't help

if it takes an hour, then
there are other factors
involved.

you may need to defrag
your disks,

you may not have enough
virtual memory available,

you may not have enough
onboard memory installed.

also, some anti virals are
very aggressive or not
configured properly and
may be attributing to your
aggravations .
