When my computer went into winxp home after booting, nothing but the time
showed in the taskbar and my cursor turned into an hourglass when positioned
over any desktop icon. Rebooted and windows was normal...so I ran chkdsk.
It's window said something along the lines "no F peramiter set checking read
only and chkdsk recovered some lost files. Should I run chkdsk again with F
and what would the typed command look like ? I streamlined my system
yesterday and there are no mal, spy, adwear. Good Firewall up...popup blocker
up. New to computers. Please help while I'm up and running. THANKS : )

Go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,then type:EXIT
You can also type:CHKDSK /? For available cmds

Thankyou very much.
