chkdsk error

chkdsk reports "Cannot open volume for direct access"
when selected to run at startup. reinstalled windows xp
and STILL get this message
 
That's a feature, not a problem. You only wasted time reinstalling XP.
Checkdisk can only run before Windows starts.
