OS: XP + SP2
command: chkdsk c: /f but log-file bootex.log do not created.
What is the matter?

from a cmd prompt: chkdsk C: /f > c:\bootex.log

(ntbtlog.txt is created in the %windir% when you use the safe mode menu to select that option (a boot log), which has nothing to do
with chkdsk)

And how you will enter Y (C: usually locked)? You could not dialogue with
chkdsk!

Look at the Winlogon application event in Event Viewer. It will show the
chkdsk results.
