Every time I start chkdisk the very first thing to come up is, "WARNING: No
F parameter is specified. Running CHKDSK in read-only mode." Translation:
no repair capability. A friend brought it up but went no further. How do I
fix this ? Need step-by step instructions.

Malvern,

Type "Chkdsk /f"
If Windows says the drive is locked and schedule chkdsk at next boot,
choose "YES"
