Checkdisk

I have just run chkdsk on my c: drive and got the following messages -
'WARNING! F parameter not specified.
Running CHKDSK in read-only mode.'
and at the end 'Errors found. CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode.'
Could someone please explain a) how to set the parameters and b) how to
correct the errors.
Thanks in advance,
Geoplay

In the command prompt window type chkdsk /?

You will see the various parameters.

Hi,

Click start/run, type cmd and click ok. From the prompt, run "chkdsk <drive>
/r" (eg: chkdsk C: /r). If the drive is in use (which it probably is), you
will not be able to dismount it while Windows is running, and you should be
prompted to schedule the check to occur on system restart.
