Child Window Resolution Issue...

I'm currently running XP Pro SP2. The issue I'm having is with programs like
Quicken, Norton Internety Security, and others child windows. For instance
when Quicken or Norton spawns a child window the resolution of that window
only is a much lower resolution that my screen is set to. I've tried
updating the Nvidia drivers and application, but I can't seem to resolve it!
I can't seem to isolate it to one programs install or install time, so it's
driving me insane! Any suggestions?

Exactly what do you mean by "is a much lower resolution that my screen
is set to"? Windows, child or otherwise, don't have their own
individual resolutions. The entire screen gets the same resolution.

Yeah - I know. Let me explain it better and if I need to I can do a screen
snap. I'll given an example from Norton Internet Security, but this happens
in other applications as well. Say I open the main Norton console,
everything looks fine, if I spawn a 'LiveUpdate' window, the child window
comes up with a much larger font - the text lines run over into other lines,
and this window can't be enlarged to read all of the text, the layout
(textboxes, buttons, etc) are scrunched together and larger as if the
resolution was set to 800x640, and button text is large cutoff at the edge of
the button..

Not sure if this helps or not, but if it only happened in Norton, I'd just
reinstall - but it occurs in a few other programs as well.
