I have a user who is running Outlook XP on a Windows XP
Home machine who want to receive e-mails without having to
hit the F5 key to receive them. She is behind a firewall
and is using a POP3 e-mail service. I configured Outlook
to check for messages automaticly, but the option does not
work. All software has ben updated.
Thanks in advance.

it is a broadband connection that is behind a firewall.
It really does nothing until you do send/receive then it
pulls in all of the e-mail. Really strange

What happens? Is the user using always-on broadband or dialup?

and send/receive settings are set to check every 10 min or so?

find and rename the SRS file for the profile (C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook) and try again.
