Check email on server before downloading

I am looking for a utility/app that has a small memory footprint that
will allow me to check my email and delete any unnecessary email (e.g.
spam) before downloading with my email proggie.
The ability to send a quick reply without opening the email proggie
would be great.
Using XP box.
Recommendations anyone...?

ePrompter is a good choice, especially if you have several webmail
accounts. I've been using it for years.

Very fast, small (~200 KB), filtering (if you wish).
