Check boxes not displaying

I cannot see any of my check boxes, in IE or windows. They
appear as blotches of different colours. I can't tell if
the boxes are checked or not.

Also, my font in IE is also not working. Every page
displays in an incorrect font, and also, all the fonts are
in bold. I am using a japanese operating system.

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE!!

You are missing some fonts or they have been corrupted.
Start here and you will find articles that will explain what fonts comes
with IE and Windows.
