Display problems

My IE seems to have a problem displaying fonts and
certain web pages correctly. For example, certain
microsoft pages are displayed in ENORMOUS fonts,
rendering the screen unreadable! In other webpages
(BBC.com, for example) certain colours and formats seem
to be missing/displayed incorrectly.

In a related problem, colours do not display correctly
(or at all) within Excel. All other programs seem to
work fine.

I've had a techie or two at my firm look at the problem,
and they have all wound up scratching their heads.

Can anyone help?
