Charachters Display Improperly

I have noticed that on several webpages sometimes spaces
before copyright or registration symbols an any character
that would be written as & reg ; (no spaces) or similar
contain weird symbols (like french or spanish letters)
instead of the spaces. This is happening on more than one
computer, both with IE 6.0

Any ideas?
 
Change your encoding under View/Encoding...

Also see if look at your Auto Select, change it see if it helps.
