Changing users from administrators to users

Is it possible to change users from the "Administrators" group to "Users"
group without physicaly touching the machine"

I have a large network and trying to lockdown the PC's. I can add a Group
policy even though we're on Novell to lock down some things, but would like
the users to be removed from the "Administrators" group to another group like
"users" or
"power users".

Thanks;
Steve C

No Novell.
Then Group Policy isn't going to be much of an option for you; you'd be
doing a lot of desk visits. I don't know whether NDS has anything that can
specify Windows startup scripts, but that's what you'd probably want -
not sure what the exact syntax would be if you're talking about local user
accounts and not AD accounts. You might want to check in a Novell forum for
more help with this; anything I can suggest would involve wearing out some
shoe leather.

Stevec,

Did you find a solution? I am also on a Novell network and would like to
lock down my users. I have reverted most of them to the Users group and gave
that group rigts to the Program Files folder since they have some programs
that need to right to it.

Hello.
I have the same problem and I am using AD. Can you write me the
solution?
Thanks
