Hi,
I am trying to change the default working folder when saving a file oin Excel 97. On the Tools menu when I click on Options I get
Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Of course Microsoft is not supporting the version I am using. Does anyone know a fix for this error. I have researched the microsoft website but could not find any mention of this problem.

I was able to do this in Word 97 with no problem.

I am using Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, Excel 97.

Thanks
Sue

Hi,

No one need to respond to this issue. I reloaded my software and all service packs and this fixed my problem.

THANKS
