Changing network card settings has totally crashed xp

I have changed my network card settings to full duplex on
advice from our IT dept and upon doing this XP pro
rebooted and will now not boot to windows and will not
allow the computer to start in safe mode, is there any
way we cah chwnge the settings back or do a system
recovery?

maybe..
boot the pc from the "a" drive, then run the nic config
software from the floppy.

keep click F8 at boot up and use last known good. or pull
the nic out of the computer, shut it off in the bios than
boot and do system restore
