Hi.
Anybody know how to change the colour of the Icon Teksts on the Desktop?
I prefer a white screen, but the tekst under the icons stubbonly wants to
stay white as well and the tekst becomes very hard to read. Screen properties
doen no longer allow you (under XP) to change the colour of the Icon tekst.
Can anybody help?

Best Regards

You are correct that there is no native way to do this in Windows. You
can try changing your white background to a slightly off-white color or
look into third-party theming programs such as Stardock's to see if that
will do what you want.

FWIW, I've just tried this on my machine, and if I change the desktop to
plain white, the icon text changes to black automatically. So maybe there's
some other issue? Have you tried changing themes?

Regards Tony.

Hi Tony.
Thanks for your reply.
- And you're right. The text does inicially change to black, but on the 2
machines I'm running, something makes the text go back to white after some
days.
I've been running antivirus and antispam to see if that could be the problem
without result.
I was actually hoping somebody knew about a tweak to change the text colour
manually.
Best regards
Jesper
