Changing file type?

Guest

I have a graphic saved on my computer that is definitely an animated gif file
but somehow it has saved as a jpg!! I can open it with windows picture viewer
and it displays the animated picture but if I try to open it in anything else
it says unknown file type. It is also not recognized if I try to use it on a
web page. I can't find a way to change the file extension from jpg to gif
just on that file and I'm wondering if there is a way to do it?

Would appreciate any help you can give me :)
Thanks,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Right click it, choose rename.

If you can't see the file extension, go to folder options (either in the
control panel or under tools in Windows Explorer), click the view tab and
uncheck the line to hide file extensions for known file types.
