Changing e-mail editor

I recently purchased my computer with a trial edition of
Office. Now that the trial has expired, I need to change
my e-mail editor from Word to something else. Outlook's
help tells me to do this by going under Tools -> Options.
However, when I do that, I can't access the options.
Until I can change this, I can't send any new messages.
Please advise on how to change the editor. Thank you.
 
If the trial has expired you cannot use Office,which includes OL, leastways
many of the functions are disabled.
You need to either purchase Office, uninstall to install an earlier version
that you own.
