How do I set Word 2007 as my Outlook 2003 e-mail editor?

I have recently installed Office 2007 Home Student edition. I have always
used my old version of Word 2003 as my e-mail editor on Outlook 2003. Now I
can't use word as the editor because I can't change the selection from word
2003. Is there any way to do this?

You can't. OL2003 will only use Word 2003 as its editor (in addition to its
internal editor)

I wonder if it would work if both Word 2003 and Word 2007 were on the machine?

Right, the o.p. moved to Office 2007 Home and Student and has that plus Outlook 2003.

You mean using 2003 then? That might work...

thanks for the answer, however, I am gobsmacked that MS have not thought this
through! Having deliberatly left Outlook 2007 out of the Student version,
many people will encounter this problem. Any work around?
