Changing Default "Look In" to find Files

I want to change the default for where Word looks for my
documents. Right now, it looks in "My documents". I
want to change it to my "new volume D:\". Can I do this
or do I have to keep working through various levels to
find my D drive? Thanks.

Change the path for Documents on the File Locations tab of Tools | Options.
