Changing CD drive letter in WinPE

Hi all,

I am (still) using WinPE 2004. I just needed to know if there is any
way to reassign drive letter to the CD-ROM drive. For example, my
system boots and assigns letter D to the CD drive but I would like to
assign it letter Z. Though it seems impossible since we are trying to
change the letter of the drive containing system image, but is there
any way to reassign the letter to the drive from which image has
booted?

In WinPE the system loads in a ramdisk which is assigned C: (PE 1.0).
You can change the CD-ROM letter. Just use diskpart (assign command) or similar tool.
