Why is the default file and folder attribute set at "Read Only". After
removing the read only attribute in the folder properties and closing the
dialogue window, rechecking the folder properties shows "read only" again.
This is attempted as a User/Administrator. Must I go to safe mode as
Administrator to change the read only attributes on my files and folders?,
or is there an administrative function in XP that I'm not using or unaware
of to change an objects attributes and have it stay that way until I decide
to change it back? Thanks.
