Changing a default program

I use XP extensively for photo collecting and editing. But, I have a minor
irritation and would like to know if it can be corrected.

In Windows "Picture & Fax Viewer", can I make MS "Picture It!" the default
editing program instead of "Paint." If so, how?

Thanks for any tips.

Right click a picture file and choose open with|choose program. Choose
Picture it and put a check next to 'always use the selected program...'. Do
this for all picture file types you wish (.bmp, .jpg, etc).
