Change to display when upgrading to XP Pro

I have just successfully upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro on 2 different
computers (all software legal).
After installation, the display on each of the computers is odd - almost
like the resolution setting is too low, but the resolution setting is just as
it was before.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help much appreciated!

What do you see when you look at the Device Manager? Is there any symbol
beside the video adaptor? It sounds like you need to reinstall the video
card driver.

Try reinstalling the latest video drivers.

Yes I can see that there is a warning sign on the Display Adapters listing. I
