Change registered to

I bought a laptop running XP I downloaded SP2.
I want to change te registered to: Home System Hard ware
page. How may I accomplish this?

Click Start > Run
Type in "regedit" without open and close quotations

Expand HKEY_LOCAL_Machine
Expand Software
Scroll down to "Microsoft" and expand it
Scroll down to "Windows NT" and expand it

Select "CurrentVersion"

In the right Pane you will see a listing on Keys.

The 2 you are looking for in particular are "RigisteredOwner" and
"RegisteredOganization".

Double click "RegisteredOwner", a dialog will appear.

Under "Value data:"
Type in your user name of choice.

The same can be applied to "RegisterOrganization".

Found the answer on THE Elder Greek Site. He told how to

regedit the registary. Worked great Found with Google
search."Windows XP registered to"
