Hi!
I need to change my mother board with the same model. Just want to ask if I
change my mother board with the same model do I need to repair my Window XP
Prop OS? Any idea what the right procedure on how to change mother board
without loossing any of my Application program and data? Please
help.......thaNKS a lot..

If the motherboard is the exact SAME, then you won't need to change
anything, 99.9% of the time.

What you may have to do is reactivate - if the board has a different
NIC, Video, or some other ID type, it may be detected by the Windows
Activation demon and require that you reactivate.

Yes, do a repair install.

I installed my HDD in a completely new system where the drive was the ONLY
old thing left. From the case to the MOBO which was a newer Intel board and
PCI-E G card and just fired it up. It must have done a self repair install
because all I had to do was re-activate and all has been fine now for weeks.
Must be an advantage with staying with Intel all the way.

2 variables here. The bios may have been changed somewhat in later
motherboards. The other is the configuration resulting data may change.
Put the same cards in the same slots to minimize. This may or may not
affect windows XP. A repair install may or may not be required. Most
likely, you'll have no problems.

Possibly. As even if replacing with the same motherboard, please note
that motherboard models come in versions, just like software.
