CHANGE MODEM PORT?

hey, i was wondering is there any way to MANUALLY change a modem port for one
of my modems. I have a USB Phone Modem in PORT 4, but it cant connect to the
phone software so I want to change it to another port to see if it works. Can
someone help me? thanks

Right-click "My Computer", Properties, "Hardware" tab, "Device Manager" button.
Right-click your modem, "Properties", click the "Advanced" tab, click the "Advanced Port
Settings" button. Use the spin arrow for "Com Port Number" and pick one not in use.
