change ip subnets

B

Billy Wallace

we are planning to change our IP address scheme on win2k
AD domain, several subnets, WAN locations, DC's. all
routers have been multi-netted with both net addresses.
local DC's configured to hand out DHCP addresses to local
subnets.

Aside from changing the IP address on the DC, creating new
DHCP scopes and DNS entries, what steps need to take place
on the DC's to ensure IP traffic, communication between
sites during transition? Anything within AD sites &
services, domains & trusts, or other AD areas that need to
be reconfigured?

Any info is much appreciated.

You will also need to re-create IP Subnets if you are using that feature.
You can do that under AD Sites and Services. Also ensure that ALL the dns
records are updated with the new IP's then just force replications to test.

Good Luck!
