change from workstation

A few weeks ago following directions to speed performance I changed my PC's role from a stand-alone system to workstation. I want to change back to stand-alone but can't remember where I changed the settings. Can anyone tell me where the role of my system is defined? How to change it back? I've checked everything and can't figure it out. TIA
